JOIN INTERNATIONAL SUPERSTAR - MIDORI FOR THIS Online KINKY SEXCEPTIONAL WEEKEND WITH SHA IN FEBRUARY!
GET READY FOR TWO DAYS OF UNIQUE DEEP DIVES INTO THE REALITIES AND CHALLENGES OF BDSM AS PRACTICED BY PEOPLE TODAY. WE WILL EXPLORE THE EXISTING TOOLS, LANGUAGE, IDENTITY FRAMEWORK AND STRATEGIES COMMONLY USED WITHIN THE COMMUNITY.
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:
Explore the Complexities of Kink, Culture, and Communication with Midori
Join Midori for an engaging and practical training that examines the hidden narratives shaping our understanding of kink and BDSM. Together, we’ll explore how personal beliefs, cultural norms, and community-driven myths can shape — and sometimes distort — the experiences of both clients and clinicians. These internalized messages can influence everything from relationship dynamics to communication patterns and sexual satisfaction.
This session offers a much-needed deep dive into areas of kink and BDSM often overlooked in traditional therapeutic training. You’ll learn a user-friendly framework for discussing desire and navigating play, along with a collaborative negotiation model that emphasizes mutual respect and clear boundaries.
Midori’s teaching style is immersive and direct. Come ready to engage through breakout groups, interactive role-plays, rich discussion, and open Q&A. Participants are encouraged to bring their full selves and speak from lived experience as we work toward more inclusive, informed, and affirming therapeutic practices.

MORE PRESENTERS TO BE ANNOUNCED SOON!
MIDORI
Known as the “supernova of kink” according to Dan Savage, Midori emerged from the Sex Positive movement in San Francisco in the early 1990s and soon became one of the most highly regarded presenters on sexuality, personal fulfillment, and kinky adventures.
Her reputation as an authority and leading expert on alternative pleasures stem not only from her unique and entertaining process of teaching concrete skills, but in her ability to deconstruct and distill complex matters of desire into surprisingly accessible lessons with eloquence and humanity.
She’s known for tackling challenging topics with fresh and relevant insights. She calls this her “head-heart-hands” method to create a space where people are allowed individual self-exploration. Fundamentally, she is motivated by helping people to create authentic and intimate relationships while emphasizing self-actualization, shame reduction, acceptance, and justice.
Known for her ability to teach with equal parts expertise and heart, her intensives and pop-up classes are often booked months in advance. She is best known for her transformative small-group educational intensives, Rope Dojo and ForteFemme: Women’s Dominance Weekend Intensive.
She is the author of The Seductive Art of Japanese Bondage, Wild Side Sex, and Master Han’s Daughter. She has also contributed her expertise and voice in numerous articles, columns, works of fiction, and instructional books.
When she’s not traveling and teaching, she’s creating provocative and haunting art and performances. For more information about Midori, visit her official website at https://www.fhp-inc.com.

Liam Wignall
Liam Wignall is a senior lecturer in Psychology at the University of Brighton. His research explores the overlap between sexuality, kink, and technology, focusing on how people construct and navigate kink identities. He has published on this in his book, Kinky in the Digital Age. He has also helped further this research strand in his co-edited book, The Power of BDSM, with Brandy Simula and Robin Bauer.
Liam is co-editor of the journal Psychology & Sexuality, and the Oxford University Press book series on Sexuality, Identity and Society, both with Professor Phil Hammack. His current research strands are: developing a tool to measure one's kink orientation (leading to the development of www.thekinkscale.com); exploring the overlap between neurodiversity and kink from qualitative and quantitative perspectives; and understanding more about high risk sexual activities (with the current focus being fisting).

“Excellent! I thought this was one of the most useful and informative workshops I have attended in a long time. Outstanding speakers who were well-knowledgeable in their areas of expertise. Also, each talk was engaging and I found all the material applicable to my business in several ways. A+ Thank you, SHA staff!”
