GREAT LAKES (Grand Rapids)

Nisha McKenzie graduated in 2002 with a Masters in Medicine – Physician Assistant studies. Since that time she has dedicated her career to women’s health and wellness. Beginning in 2011, she intently focused on women’s sexual health and its relation to overall health after the realization that information is not being taught to medical providers in a way that can effectively be communicated to the women we are meant to help. She is also a graduate of the University of Michigan Sexual Health Certificate Program. Nisha mentors and teaches both Sexual Medicine and Women’s Health for the Grand Valley State University PA program and also enjoys teaching the OB/GYN residents of Michigan State University. She speaks at many medical conferences with a dedication to helping providers understand how to better include sexual health into general health. She is the founder and director of the Center for Women’s Sexual Health in Grand Rapids, MI. This was created to allow women the opportunity to explore questions or concerns about sex and relationships in a comfortable, educated environment lacking judgement and the typical medical time constraints. Her goal is to allow all women to embrace sexuality in a manner comfortable for them and to help create a network of providers who can work together to help relationships grow and improve, whether with oneself or with others.
