Lesley Croft

Lesley Croft (she/her)(aged 63) I am originally from the UK although I have not lived there permanently since 1989. I lived in the Middle-East before I came to Hong Kong in 2001, this is my home, my children (now in their 30s) grew up here and went to an international school.

I work in an all-boys local school (not an international school) where I teach English to very able students. I love my job! Over the years I have found that can answer questions on topics about sex and relationships as and when they arise, usually during literature lessons and I maintain that the study of literature is the continuous study of the human condition. Although my subject is English I would like to move towards teaching Relationship and Sex Education and that is what motivated me to enroll and successfully pass the SHA Sexuality Educator course which I completed in the summer of 2023.

What I gained from the Sexuality Educator course is that it is not only high school students who need sex education it is EVERYONE. I have ideas of how I can move forward with this plan, it is baby steps at the moment.
