MEXICO SAR DURING WICKED EDEN!
Join us for our Sexceptional SAR by SHA on October 20 - 24th, 2021 in Mexico! This is considered an Advanced SAR.
This SAR is during Wicked Eden which is a hotel takeover that is a highly sexually charged weekend in the Cancun. Wicked Eden events are not for AASECT CE SAR credit and are not a part of the AASECT CE SAR training.
For those that have already attended a SAR with us, rest assured this will be a whole new experience! If you need AASECT CEs* for certification or renewal, this is your chance!
This event is open to ALL, not just current SHA students!
We offer our events to anyone throughout the world that wants to attend so all of our international friends are welcome!
Wicked Eden includes various events which are optional and are not a part of the SAR for AASECT CEs. Here’s their description: Unleash your carnal cravings at the first annual "Wicked Eden". Indulge in four decadent nights of Pre-Halloween Carnaval style adult fun; including private sky lounge parties, room crawls, mixers, headline DJ's, and anything else a wicked heart desires. We will explore all our inhibitions as we join a seductive, international group for a wicked week of fun in the Caribbean.
There will be classroom time, experiential time and optional events. Lodging and Flights are not included and will be the responsibility fo the participant. However, the resort is all inclusive to include all beverages, food, Wicked Eden events including parties and special events. There is a 4 night minimum.
To stay in the Bash Tower (4 night minimum) books for $1896. Call to book the room for only 4 nights (unless you want to stay 5) and ask for Don and state you are in the SHA group so we can all be on the same floor!
Please note your spot is not confirmed until we have received your completed informed consent packet.

Additional optional activities are not for AASECT CE credit
Please note there are two separate “events” included. The event with AASECT CEs* includes classroom time, lecture, media and group discussion and follow the specific rules of an “SAR for AASECT CEs.” The rest of the experience/weekend is through SHA only as we are holding space for students to attend and/or observe optional extra curricular events and will provide time to process those experiences.
These additional and optional events (which include and are not limited to Wicked Eden) are not for credit through AASECT, nor a part of AASECT CEs* requirements for the AASECT SAR.
This is considered an advanced SHA SAR. Automatic acceptance is given to those that have attended a previous SHA Sexceptional SAR.

David Ley, Ph.D., is a clinical psychologist in practice in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Philosophy from Ole Miss, and his Master's and Doctoral degrees in clinical psychology from the University of New Mexico. Dr. Ley is licensed in New Mexico and North Carolina, and has provided clinical and consultative services in numerous other states. He is the Executive Director of New Mexico Solutions, a large outpatient mental health and substance abuse program in Albuquerque, NM. Dr. Ley also serves on the advisory board for the Sexual Health Alliance.
Dr. Ley has been treating sexuality issues throughout his career. He first began treating perpetrators and victims of sexual abuse, but expanded his approach to include the fostering and promotion of healthy sexuality, and awareness of the wide range of normative sexual behaviors. Insatiable Wives is his first book and won a Silver Medal in the Foreword Magazine Book of the Year contest for 2009. Dr. Ley wrote Insatiable Wives following two years of interviews with couples around the country. His controversial second book, The Myth of Sex Addiction was released in March 2012, challenging the concept of sexual addiction and exploring a different model of male sexuality. The Myth of Sex Addiction triggered a firestorm of debate, allowing people to finally challenge the media hype of this pseudo-disorder. His new book Ethical Porn for Dicks, A Man's Guide to Responsible Viewing Pleasureis due out in Summer/Fall 2016. Dr. Ley may be contacted via email through the Psychology Today website.
Heather McPherson, MA, LPC-S, LMFT-S, CST is the CEO/Founder The Sexual Health Alliance and also maintains a private practice (respark.co) that serves Denver, Colorado and Austin, Texas specializing in sexuality and relationships. She is published in Playboy Magazine as well as Playboy Online, and has been featured on CNN, Parent Harald and TeenSafe websites. Heather McPherson has lectured at prestigious Universities including University of Texas at Austin, Texas State University and Governors State University in Chicago. She is an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist Supervisor (LMFT-S) and a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S). She also is the Texas Section Leader for AASECT (American Association for Sexuality Educators, Counselors & Therapists). She has appeared on several podcasts and was invited to speak at NerdNite in Austin on relationships and sexuality. Heather helps clients gain confidence, rebuild trust, increase playfulness, and find passion and meaning in their erotic lives. Heather graduated from Texas State University with a MA in Marriage, Couple and Family Therapy; a CACREP Accredited Program.
Nicoletta von Heidegger is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (#110256) practicing in Los Angeles. Nicoletta received her BA in Psychology from Stanford University, her MA in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University, and her MEd in Human Sexuality from Widener University. Nicoletta is currently pursuing her PhD in Human Sexuality from Widener. In addition to seeing clients in private practice, Nicoletta also works as an EAGALA certified equine assisted therapist at Stand in Balance. Nicoletta believes in embodied practice and is also certified in levels I and II of The Trauma Resiliency Model. When not working with clients, Nicoletta creates and hosts the growing hit podcast Sluts & Scholars and teaches educational seminars and classes to help others learn about sexual and mental health.
*This program offers up to 15 AASECT CEs. This program meets the requirements of the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT) and is approved for 15 AASECT CE credits. These CE credits may be applied toward AASECT certification and renewal of certification. Completion of this program does not ensure or guarantee AASECT certification.
